Spectators: 7469 (Terracing: 5603, Seating: 1717, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nando de Sousa started the match with the kick off. Juvenal Seco kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Flávio Dantas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrinho Aguiar in the 5th minute of play. Flávio Dantas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nando de Sousa went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Flávio Dantas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nando de Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hélder Recife charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hélder Recife the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kauã Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 24 minutes of play, Recompensa's Nando de Sousa made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Flávio Dantas was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 30thth minute of the game Nando de Sousa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vila Nova Futebol Clube's Flávio Dantas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Agostinho de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Recompensa were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Kauã Monteiro made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Nando de Sousa fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a rather tough play, Recompensa's Diamantino Matos got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute Agostinho de Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerson Nóbrega saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nando de Sousa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Flávio Dantas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Kauã Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Flávio Dantas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nando de Sousa in the 69th minute of play. In the 72nd match minute, Vila Nova Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juvenal Seco to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedrinho Aguiar got free with Flávio Dantas in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Recompensa's Pedrinho Aguiar got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 80th minute Pedrão Siqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flávio Dantas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 82 played minutes Vila Nova Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Kauã Monteiro. When Cláudio Souza fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Recompensa's protests and gave Cláudio Souza a yellow card for diving instead. Vila Nova Futebol Clube were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after Recompensa's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Charles Albuquerque took the corner. In the 88th minute of the match Fellipe Camargo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gerson Nóbrega showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Vila Nova Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Hugo Secco hit a great ball. Recompensa's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
