The audience thought a goal was coming when Sandro de Queirós got free with Túlio Capixaba in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 15 minutes into the match, EC Mogiana's goal looked a bit too open when Breno Vieira came free, but Albertinho de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albertinho de Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breno Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute, Sandro de Queirós got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Catipora's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sandro de Queirós was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 68th minute, Fabian Tiniebra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Albertinho de Amaral made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Pedro Luís da Fonseca sent off a good shot on target. Sandro de Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Túlio Capixaba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isaltino Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Pedro Luís da Fonseca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Albertinho de Amaral made a huge save. In the 78th minute, EC Mogiana's Dudu Souza seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Dudu Souza the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of EC Mogiana protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dudu Souza had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Ian da Silveira made in the 85th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Pedro Luís da Fonseca. The supporters of Catipora booed when EC Mogiana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateus Barral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albertinho de Amaral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. There was no doubt that EC Mogiana were the better team. EC Mogiana's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
