After 10 played minutes Mirinzal SS got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Paulo Mazza. If Cacá Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dé Faria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Róbson de Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gildo Salgado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Carlinhos Freitas made a huge save. After 23 minutes, Cacá Pombal made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Mirinzal SS's Dé Faria tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cacá Pombal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Atauba EC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cesinha da Silveira in the 52nd minute. Mirinzal SS's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cacá Pombal in the 64th minute of play forced Mirinzal SS's goalkeeper Dé Faria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlinhos Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 90 played minutes Mirinzal SS got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Gustavo Abraão. When Róbson de Godoi got free in front of the goal in the 92nd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Dé Faria was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The Atauba EC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
