The referee ignored Batateiros Sport Club's protests and gave Caio Maciel a yellow card for diving instead. Caio Maciel hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Fausto Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flávio Alves having to interfere. 21 minutes into the game, Oséas Miranda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sport Clube Bueno's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Batateiros Sport Club the free kick. Magno Paraense scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Pires, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Batateiros Sport Club's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Edmílson Machado 33 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. If Fausto Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fausto Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flávio Alves having to interfere. The supporters of Sport Clube Bueno booed when Batateiros Sport Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Flávio Alves was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Richard Massa. Batateiros Sport Club's Flávio Alves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Batateiros Sport Club from getting a goal against them. Oséas Miranda hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Fausto Dias made the kick off in the second half. Sport Clube Bueno's Gerson Quintal was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Flávio Alves in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Raí Siqueira made in the 57th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Oséas Miranda however managed to control. Sport Clube Bueno's Fausto Dias got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oséas Miranda took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flávio Alves. Flávio Alves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Fausto Dias ran back to his position shaking his head. Pedro Pires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Magno Paraense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Sport Clube Bueno had won after a very even match.
