Pedro Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Róbson de Godoi in the 3rd minute of play. In the 4th minute Cacá Pombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Sport Clube Bueno booed when Atauba EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesinha da Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Oséas Miranda fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sport Clube Bueno's protests and gave Oséas Miranda a yellow card for diving instead. Oséas Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Pedro Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Róbson de Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After 18 minutes of play, Atauba EC's Elias Alagoano made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Pires was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pedro Pires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cacá Pombal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Fausto Dias sped through Atauba EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Carlinhos Freitas. Oséas Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlinhos Freitas having to interfere. In the 27th minute Fausto Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlinhos Freitas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Edmílson Machado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carlinhos Freitas. Atauba EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edmílson Machado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Edmílson Machado was extremely unlucky when he, in the 31st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Fausto Dias struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Carlinhos Freitas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sport Clube Bueno. Edmílson Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Carlinhos Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Atauba EC's zone, Fausto Dias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlinhos Freitas came out of the goal and Fausto Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Carlinhos Freitas managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Sport Clube Bueno's Fausto Dias fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Fausto Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Fausto Dias made the kick off in the second half. Carlinhos Freitas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fausto Dias went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. 57 minutes into the game, Cacá Pombal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atauba EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sport Clube Bueno the free kick. If Fausto Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Salles in the 62nd minute of play. If Oséas Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 72 minutes into the match, Roger Salles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Pires. Sport Clube Bueno's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roger Salles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. Edmílson Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sport Clube Bueno's Pedro Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cacá Pombal in the 79th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fausto Dias in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlinhos Freitas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Richard Massa charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Richard Massa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Sport Clube Bueno's Richard Massa got a free kick in the 85th minute. Cacá Pombal took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Pires. Pedro Pires dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Dias in the 91st minute of play forced Atauba EC's goalkeeper Carlinhos Freitas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 93 minutes of play Sport Clube Bueno's Richard Massa was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Pedro Pires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Víktor Almeida in the 96th minute of the match. The Atauba EC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Sport Clube Bueno from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
