Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jeferson do Vale made the kick off which started today's match. When Egídio Machado fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cabreiro's protests and gave Egídio Machado a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Cabreiro's Egídio Machado got a free kick in the 4th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Jeferson do Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mirinzal SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeferson do Vale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Remo Neves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Mirinzal SS booed when Cabreiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomás Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, Jeferson do Vale ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Remo Neves was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Jeferson do Vale charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeferson do Vale the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jeferson do Vale hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Gildo Salgado sped through Cabreiro's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Remo Neves. Cabreiro's Remo Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeferson do Vale in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th match minute, Cabreiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Bastos to maneuver through the defense. Remo Neves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gildo Salgado went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 34 minutes into the match, Cabreiro's goal looked a bit too open when Gildo Salgado came free, but Remo Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dé Faria came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Cabreiro's Jeremias Braga. But to his dismay, Jeremias Braga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. 38 minutes into the match, Cabreiro's Leonel de Azevedo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dé Faria narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Cabreiro getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Frank Bastos hit a great ball. When Leonel de Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Cabreiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonel de Azevedo couldn't finish the play. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mirinzal SS's goalkeeper Dé Faria, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Leonel de Azevedo made the kick off in the second half. Cabreiro's Remo Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeferson do Vale in the 53rd minute of play. Dé Faria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel de Azevedo in the 56th minute of play. If Leonel de Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Mirinzal SS's zone, Jeremias Braga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dé Faria came out of the goal and Jeremias Braga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mirinzal SS's goalkeeper Dé Faria, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeferson do Vale in the 75th minute of play forced Cabreiro's goalkeeper Remo Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remo Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeferson do Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Gildo Salgado came free with the goalkeeper in the 86th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Remo Neves could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, Cabreiro's Vitório Pinheiro got a free kick in the 86th minute. Remo Neves made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Gildo Salgado sent off a good shot on target. Dé Faria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel de Azevedo in the 93rd minute of play. The Mirinzal SS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mirinzal SS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
