Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sururu FC's Geovani Trigo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, Jaguarary FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto de Brito to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Flávio Abraão in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eliézer Ferraz saved Sururu FC from getting behind. Erasmo Reis kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After 16 minutes, Erasmo Reis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jaguarary FC and the Sururu FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Geovani Trigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiaguinho Porto having to interfere. In the 19th match minute, Jaguarary FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo Reis to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Fábio Prata, 20 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 25th minute Zé Roberto Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliézer Ferraz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Zé Roberto Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mário Cabral hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Sururu FC's zone, Flávio Abraão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliézer Ferraz came out of the goal and Flávio Abraão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th minute Geovani Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiaguinho Porto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Egídio do Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the match, Geovani Trigo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tiaguinho Porto, 1-0.

The wind increased when Zé Roberto Correia made the kick off in the second half. Egídio do Valle scored 2-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tiaguinho Porto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 58 minutes into the game, Zé Roberto Correia recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eliézer Ferraz. Zé Roberto Correia showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Flávio Abraão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Eliézer Ferraz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Roberto Correia struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Eliézer Ferraz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jaguarary FC. When Flávio Abraão came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Jaguarary FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flávio Abraão couldn't finish the play. If Flávio Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Egídio do Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Sururu FC booed when Jaguarary FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Carlos Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaguarary FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
