Délio Britto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remo Neves having to interfere. The attack was good, but when André Dias in the 5th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After having played for 6 minutes, Délio Britto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brasília Seahawks's supporters crossed their fingers, but Délio Britto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jeremias Braga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Radu Moarcăș made a huge save. João Carlos Mesquita hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Brasília Seahawks's zone, Leonel de Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Radu Moarcăș came out of the goal and Leonel de Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Cabreiro getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Thomás Marquez hit a great ball. Remo Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Délio Britto in the 19th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeremias Braga got free with Radu Moarcăș in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel de Azevedo in the 25th minute of play forced Brasília Seahawks's goalkeeper Radu Moarcăș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brasília Seahawks's Radu Moarcăș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel de Azevedo in the 30th minute of play. André Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brasília Seahawks's Radu Moarcăș proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Brasília Seahawks from getting a goal against them. Radu Moarcăș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel de Azevedo in the 41st minute of the match. When Gerson Paraíba came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Brasília Seahawks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerson Paraíba couldn't finish the play. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cabreiro's goalkeeper Remo Neves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonel de Azevedo was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match Cabreiro got a corner. Brasília Seahawks's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Egídio Machado ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Cabreiro's corner Egídio Machado fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Radu Moarcăș quite easily take care of the ball. Brasília Seahawks's Radu Moarcăș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel de Azevedo in the 58th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, André Dias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brasília Seahawks fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 65th minute Leonel de Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radu Moarcăș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vitório Pinheiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Brasília Seahawks's zone, Leonel de Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Radu Moarcăș came out of the goal and Leonel de Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If André Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Délio Britto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Remo Neves came out and tried to block the shot, but Délio Britto slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 84th minute.
