When Fausto Dias came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Sport Clube Bueno fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Dias couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fausto Dias in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Remo Neves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pedro Pires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitório Pinheiro in the 22nd minute of the match. Fausto Dias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Remo Neves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. In the 27th match minute, Sport Clube Bueno was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Breckenfeld to maneuver through the defense. Cabreiro's Remo Neves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Cabreiro from getting a goal against them. 30 minutes into the match, Oséas Miranda notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Cabreiro's Remo Neves. Joaquim Breckenfeld received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Remo Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonel de Azevedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Sport Clube Bueno's Oséas Miranda sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Remo Neves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Egídio Machado was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 55th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 56 minutes, Vitório Pinheiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cabreiro and the Sport Clube Bueno players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 57th match minute, Cabreiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitório Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. Thomás Marquez kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. The supporters of Cabreiro booed when Sport Clube Bueno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernani Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sport Clube Bueno's Fausto Dias got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 73 minutes into the match, Sport Clube Bueno's goal looked a bit too open when Vitório Pinheiro came free, but Pedro Pires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeremias Braga got free with Pedro Pires in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Oséas Miranda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Remo Neves having to make a save. In the 78th minute Fausto Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remo Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hernani Vidal hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. 86 minutes in the game Egídio Machado after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Pedro Pires. A very good opportunity. After 93 played minutes Sport Clube Bueno got a freekick which was hit by Hernani Vidal. Cabreiro succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Sport Clube Bueno had controlled the match.
