If Caio Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedro de Brito in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Vítor Silva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. José Vítor Silva came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by G E Gálatas's Luiz Fernando Quirino. But to his dismay, Luiz Fernando Quirino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. José Vítor Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro de Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Pacu's Marcinho Tróia got a free kick in the 44th minute. After having played for 45 minutes, Luiz Fernando Quirino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. G E Gálatas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Fernando Quirino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Pacu's zone, Pedro de Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Vítor Silva came out of the goal and Pedro de Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Pacu players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. G E Gálatas were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pedro de Brito to strike the kick off in the second half. José Vítor Silva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro de Brito in the 62nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Josué Godoi got free with José Vítor Silva in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 64 minutes into the match, Pacu's goalkeeper José Vítor Silva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro de Brito. Pedro de Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Vítor Silva having to interfere. Benedito Rosado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Francisco Félix having to make a save. When Cássio de Lima came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Pacu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cássio de Lima couldn't finish the play. G E Gálatas's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
