Nilgolzerazon's Mateus de Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldinho Pires in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Balázs Túri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Nilgolzerazon booed when Leão da Estradinha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdemar Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Ronaldinho Pires made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Nilgolzerazon's goal looked a bit too open when Rodriguinho Paraíba came free, but Mateus de Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Carlos Eduardo Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronaldinho Pires could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Mateus de Almeida made a huge save. Mateus de Almeida made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Ronaldinho Pires sent off a good shot on target. Nilgolzerazon's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 87 played minutes Leão da Estradinha FC got a freekick which was hit by Laércio Brodel. After 90 minutes of play, Leão da Estradinha FC's Rodriguinho Paraíba made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mateus de Almeida was left in no man's land by his defense there! Leão da Estradinha FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
