Felippe Baptista charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felippe Baptista the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th match minute, São Cristóvão F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felippe Baptista to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute of the match Red Skulls got a corner. São Cristóvão F.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. In the 28th minute Pere Beloki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kiko Matorin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Pimenta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erman Metiner having to interfere. Acácio Teixeira kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Erman Metiner was a little too slow when Felippe Baptista got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nando Donatello in the 36th minute of play forced São Cristóvão F.C's goalkeeper Kiko Matorin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. São Cristóvão F.C's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Red Skulls's Erman Metiner proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Red Skulls from getting a goal against them. In the 47th minute, Felippe Baptista ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erman Metiner was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 52 played minutes São Cristóvão F.C got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Mota. 53 minutes into the match, São Cristóvão F.C's goalkeeper Kiko Matorin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pere Beloki. An unexpected shot in the 54th minute by Nando Donatello got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 56th minute, Nando Donatello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 59 played minutes, São Cristóvão F.C's Samuel Urbano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Erman Metiner came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in São Cristóvão F.C reached it. Erman Metiner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felippe Baptista in the 60th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute of the match São Cristóvão F.C got a corner. Red Skulls's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Samuel Urbano ran over to the corner to take the kick. São Cristóvão F.C's Macho Camacho was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Erman Metiner in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Kiko Matorin made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Nando Donatello sent off a good shot on target. 65 minutes into the match, São Cristóvão F.C's Felippe Baptista sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erman Metiner narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kiko Matorin was a little too slow when Pere Beloki got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 2-1. In the 71st minute of the match Gláuber da Fonseca sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erman Metiner skillfully saved the ball. Erman Metiner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felippe Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cássio Nunes got his second yellow card in the match during the 79th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, São Cristóvão F.C's Cássio Nunes got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute of the match, Nando Donatello got a very nice opportunity to score, but Kiko Matorin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After having played for 83 minutes, Nando Donatello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Red Skulls's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nando Donatello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Pere Beloki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samuel Urbano hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Kiko Matorin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pere Beloki, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Kiko Matorin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pere Beloki in the 92nd minute of the match. São Cristóvão F.C's Kiko Matorin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save São Cristóvão F.C from getting a goal against them. In the 95th minute, Jonathan Pimenta made a precise shot to the right of Erman Metiner. Red Skulls's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. São Cristóvão F.C's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
