Cléberson Freitas charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cléberson Freitas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cléberson Freitas kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After 29 played minutes Athletico Manaus got a freekick which was hit by Wágner Figueiredo. In the 33rd minute Válbson de Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basílio Nogueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Válbson de Sena in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Basílio Nogueira saved Guaramirim-FSCMZ from getting behind. Válbson de Sena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Basílio Nogueira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Athletico Manaus's Wágner Figueiredo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Edinho Linhares, made in the 44th minute of the game. The Guaramirim-FSCMZ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Athletico Manaus were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luiz Fabiano França to make the kick off. 0-2 became the score in the 51st minute when Dudu Ferraz elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The supporters of Guaramirim-FSCMZ booed when Athletico Manaus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matías Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Guaramirim-FSCMZ's Osman Ali Nurettin broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. Válbson de Sena struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Basílio Nogueira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Athletico Manaus. In the 64th minute Luiz Fabiano França shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Leal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oséias Cavalcante hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Válbson de Sena in the 76th minute of play forced Guaramirim-FSCMZ's goalkeeper Basílio Nogueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Fabiano França's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but André Leal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Guaramirim-FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Válbson de Sena came free, but Basílio Nogueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basílio Nogueira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Athletico Manaus's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
