The audience thought a goal was coming when Raphael Brasil got free with Marquinhos de Medeiros in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Itanhum's Alberto Cavalcante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarbas Soares in the 28th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Raphael Brasil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itanhum's supporters rose to their feet, but Raphael Brasil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marquinhos de Medeiros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Falcão Silva hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Marquinhos de Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raphael Brasil in the 79th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valério Senna in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marquinhos de Medeiros saved Real Position from getting behind. 83 minutes into the match, Real Position's goal looked a bit too open when Valério Senna came free, but Marquinhos de Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Itanhum booed when Real Position was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Romero didn't get a good kick on the ball.
