Marcelo Palmeira's late challenge caught a Opera OMNES's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcelo Palmeira helped the player get up and apologised. Maurinho Sarmento didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 9th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. When Raphael Fantini came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Beberibe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raphael Fantini couldn't finish the play. After having played for 20 minutes, Marco Bezerra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Opera OMNES's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco Bezerra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sílvio Luiz Zanette hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Santo Gorka took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Maurinho Sarmento. Beberibe's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Beberibe's goalkeeper Maurinho Sarmento had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marco Bezerra. Maurinho Sarmento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elano Hermes in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute Elano Hermes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurinho Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rubinho Botelho hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Opera OMNES's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
