The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgard Marinho was the one to do the kick off. Marcelinho Peres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valdir Braga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme Perez in the 53rd minute of play. A collision led to Vasco Da Gama getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Edgard Marinho hit a great ball. In the 56th minute, Delfim Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vladimir Rosado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valdir Braga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Guilherme Perez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eriberto Arruda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 71 minutes into the game, Edgard Marinho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Raúl Custódio. Edgard Marinho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. After having played for 86 minutes, Marcelinho Peres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Whrex F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelinho Peres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Whrex F.C. were furious when Orlando Tande was red carded, 95 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 95 minutes into the game, one of Whrex F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. A nice corner shot did that João Francisco Dias got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Raúl Custódio quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
