The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Willian Zonta charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Willian Zonta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Willian Zonta hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Jurăscu in the 16th minute of play forced Whrex F.C.'s goalkeeper Raúl Custódio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Emil Jurăscu put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Raúl Custódio. Renatinho Vides sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emil Jurăscu took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raúl Custódio. Raúl Custódio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Raúl Custódio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wojciech Nienajadlo's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Renatinho Vides fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raúl Custódio having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Whrex F.C.'s goalkeeper Raúl Custódio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Renatinho Vides. After a rather tough play, Jacoca's Emil Jurăscu got a free kick in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emil Jurăscu was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Wojciech Nienajadlo made a precise shot to the right of Raúl Custódio. Whrex F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Raúl Custódio came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Jacoca's Wojciech Nienajadlo. But to his dismay, Wojciech Nienajadlo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. If Emil Jurăscu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wojciech Nienajadlo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68th minute, Renatinho Vides left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jacoca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. After 74 played minutes Jacoca got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Loureiro. If Emil Jurăscu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 79 minutes, Wojciech Nienajadlo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jacoca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wojciech Nienajadlo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emil Jurăscu in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raúl Custódio saved Whrex F.C. from getting behind. 85 minutes into the game, Lauro Berger cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Raúl Custódio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Emil Jurăscu struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Raúl Custódio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jacoca. After 95 played minutes Whrex F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Arruda. Wojciech Nienajadlo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
