Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Humberto Cruz started the match with the kick off. Raúl Custódio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Cruz in the 3rd minute of play. After 4 played minutes Whrex F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Arruda. In the 6th minute of the match, Vítor Pimenta got a very nice opportunity to score, but Raúl Custódio was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Luiz Guilherme Perez sped through Azevedo SS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Raphael Coutinho. Marcelinho Peres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eriberto Arruda's late challenge caught a Azevedo SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eriberto Arruda helped the player get up and apologised. After 14 played minutes Whrex F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Arruda. When Vítor Pimenta came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Azevedo SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vítor Pimenta couldn't finish the play. In the 17th minute, Marcelinho Peres made a precise shot to the right of Raphael Coutinho. Azevedo SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 20th minute, Luiz Guilherme Perez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Décio Xavier was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 23 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Whrex F.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 22nd minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 25 minutes, Azevedo SS's Víktor Pires got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Raúl Custódio. After 31 minutes, Luiz Guilherme Perez made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Azevedo SS's Raphael Coutinho tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 35 played minutes Whrex F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Arruda. The audience was convinced that Luiz Guilherme Perez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raphael Coutinho was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Guilherme Perez was the one to do the kick off. Raúl Custódio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Régis de Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. When Whrex F.C.'s Luiz Guilherme Perez in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Azevedo SS's goalie prevented a goal. After 55 minutes, Humberto Cruz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Azevedo SS and the Whrex F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Azevedo SS getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Humberto Cruz hit a great ball. With splendid footwork Luiz Guilherme Perez arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-4 by the left pole in the game's 56th minute. Marcelinho Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raphael Coutinho having to interfere. Raphael Coutinho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luiz Guilherme Perez went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-5 was the resulting score. Raúl Custódio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Cruz in the 74th minute of play. Orlando Tande charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Orlando Tande the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Whrex F.C.'s Raúl Custódio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Cruz in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes into the game, Luiz Guilherme Perez lined in a short shot 2-6 behind a frustrated Raphael Coutinho. Humberto Cruz scored 3-6 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raúl Custódio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Whrex F.C.'s Raúl Custódio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mazinho Alves in the 88th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Vítor Pimenta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raúl Custódio was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-6. Whrex F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
