When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Humberto Cruz made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Fernandes in the 55th minute of play forced Azevedo SS's goalkeeper Raphael Coutinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute of the match, Vítor Pimenta got a very nice opportunity to score, but Elano Miranda was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Vieiras's Antônio Breckenfeld got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vítor Pimentas short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Elano Miranda to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Vítor Pimenta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Elano Miranda made a huge save. Elano Miranda came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Azevedo SS's Vítor Pimenta. But to his dismay, Vítor Pimenta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 71st minute Humberto Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elano Miranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vivaldo Tande didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elano Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Cruz in the 90th minute of the match. If Humberto Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
