CONFIANÇA:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 44th minute, Whrex F.C. got a penalty, and Marcelinho Peres placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

A. D. CONFIANÇA's Raúl Mesquita was substituted for Edmundo Neves. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luiz Guilherme Perez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
