Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Zé Pedro Meirelles started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zé Pedro Meirelles in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Váldson França saved Mafia FC from getting behind. In the 9th minute, Antônio Carlos Ceresso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mafia FC! In the 15th minute Horácio Vinhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Váldson França saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Váldson França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgílio Veloso in the 16th minute of play. Váldson França took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horácio Vinhas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Afonsinho Pereira in the 25th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Mafia FC's João Pedro Barral. Horácio Vinhas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cipriano Queirós hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Mafia FC defense, Zé Pedro Meirelles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Váldson França. The Mafia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Váldson França should have stopped the shot. Horácio Vinhas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Váldson França didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zé Pedro Meirelles went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Zé Pedro Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Váldson França tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Perdidos FC booed when Mafia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francisco Amorim during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
