They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabiano Antunes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 71 minutes into the match, A. D. CONFIANÇA's goal looked a bit too open when Didi de Lima came free, but Fabiano Antunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Didi de Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, Vasco Da Gama's Edgard Marinho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Valdir Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Vasco Da Gama getting a freekick after 89 minutes play.
