In the 17th match minute, Gwaan Rude Association was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmílson Leão to maneuver through the defense. Ezequiel Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elano Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Edmundo Galvão kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After 22 played minutes Gwaan Rude Association got a freekick which was hit by Yuri de Medeiros. Gwaan Rude Association's Ezequiel Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Marinho in the 35th minute of play. After 41 played minutes Gwaan Rude Association got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldão Barral. Gwaan Rude Association were furious when Ronaldão Barral was red carded, 44 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gwaan Rude Association fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 44th minute. Penalty! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gonçalo Corrêa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Sílvio Luiz de Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gwaan Rude Association's supporters rose to their feet, but Sílvio Luiz de Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdir Braga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gwaan Rude Association's Ezequiel Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Marinho in the 56th minute of play. A collision led to Vasco Da Gama getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. João Francisco Dias hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute, Matheus Leite hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sílvio Luiz de Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 68 played minutes Vasco Da Gama got a freekick which was hit by Edmundo Galvão. Gwaan Rude Association's Ezequiel Alves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Gwaan Rude Association from getting a goal against them. Henrique Severo hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Vasco Da Gama's Valdir Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonçalo Corrêa in the 90th minute of play. João Francisco Dias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ezequiel Alves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Vasco Da Gama left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Gwaan Rude Association.
