The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, A. D. CONFIANÇA's Francisco Zonta got a free kick in the 2nd minute. In the 3rd minute of the match João Francisco Recife shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabiano Antunes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 6 played minutes Gwaan Rude Association got a freekick which was hit by Gonçalo Corrêa. In the 9th minute of the match Yuri de Medeiros shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabiano Antunes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Fabiano Antunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonçalo Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gonçalo Corrêa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edmundo Neves charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edmundo Neves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, A. D. CONFIANÇA's Edmundo Neves got a free kick in the 21st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gonçalo Corrêa in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabiano Antunes saved A. D. CONFIANÇA from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Gwaan Rude Association's Ramón Rezende got a free kick in the 34th minute. Roger Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezequiel Alves having to interfere. Henrique Severo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabiano Antunes having to make a save. Fabiano Antunes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gonçalo Corrêa's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Henrique Severo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The A. D. CONFIANÇA players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gwaan Rude Association were winning 0-1.

A. D. CONFIANÇA's Raúl Mesquita was substituted for Edmundo Neves. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gonçalo Corrêa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute Roger Leme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ezequiel Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the A. D. CONFIANÇA defense, Edmílson Leão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabiano Antunes. The A. D. CONFIANÇA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabiano Antunes should have stopped the shot. In the 68thth minute of the game Gonçalo Corrêa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A. D. CONFIANÇA's Fabiano Antunes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, A. D. CONFIANÇA's Fabiano Antunes got control of the ball when Edmílson Leão tried to sneak it across the goal line. A throw-in in the 85th minute of the game was made by Edmílson Leão with Sílvio Luiz de Queirós as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After having played for 86 minutes, Gonçalo Corrêa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gwaan Rude Association's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonçalo Corrêa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of A. D. CONFIANÇA booed when Gwaan Rude Association was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matheus Leite didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabiano Antunes was a little too slow when Sílvio Luiz de Queirós got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 0-3. The A. D. CONFIANÇA manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Gwaan Rude Association to win.
