Antônio Breckenfeld could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Ezequiel Alves made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sílvio Luiz de Queirós in the 69th minute of play forced Vieiras's goalkeeper Elano Miranda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernandão de Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Gwaan Rude Association's João Francisco Recife tried to score from far away in the 75th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.
