After 6 played minutes Fanáticos got a freekick which was hit by Luís Paulo Lago. After a defensive mix-up in Jandiritiua's zone, Tales Simões stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raphael França came out of the goal and Tales Simões tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramón Prata in the 10th minute of play forced Fanáticos's goalkeeper Luisinho Cavalcante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 15 minutes, Ramón Prata mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jandiritiua and the Fanáticos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ramón Prata kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 18th minute Dudu Saraiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisinho Cavalcante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, André Branco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Jandiritiua's Ramón Prata got a free kick in the 30th minute. Ramón Prata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Luisinho Cavalcante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Jandiritiua's Ramón Prata slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Luisinho Cavalcante. That made the score 0-1 after 55 minutes of play. Jandiritiua's Gildo Gomes suffered a sore thigh after 63 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Arí Linhares fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fanáticos's protests and gave Arí Linhares a yellow card for diving instead. After 64 played minutes Fanáticos got a freekick which was hit by Arí Linhares. Luisinho Cavalcante acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 96th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Sidnei Nóbrega. The Fanáticos manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Jandiritiua to win.
