Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nestor Toscano kicked off to start the match. After 3 played minutes CR Vila Xurupita got a freekick which was hit by Dorival de Barros. After having played for 7 minutes, Nestor Toscano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CR Vila Xurupita's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nestor Toscano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luisinho Cavalcante made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Nestor Toscano sent off a good shot on target. 13 minutes into the match, CR Vila Xurupita's goal looked a bit too open when André Branco came free, but Rubens Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that André Branco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rubens Trigo was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Luisinho Cavalcante didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CR Vila Xurupita.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell André Branco to make the kick off. Luisinho Cavalcante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maicon Cosme in the 56th minute of play. André Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to CR Vila Xurupita getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Sílvio Luiz de Almeida hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute of the match, Tales Simões got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rubens Trigo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Rubens Trigo came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Fanáticos's André Branco. But to his dismay, André Branco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When Fanáticos's André Branco in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CR Vila Xurupita's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Toscano in the 74th minute of play forced Fanáticos's goalkeeper Luisinho Cavalcante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the game, Nestor Toscano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CR Vila Xurupita's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fanáticos the free kick. The supporters of Fanáticos booed when CR Vila Xurupita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nestor Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maicon Cosme during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 86 played minutes CR Vila Xurupita got a freekick which was hit by Maicon Cosme. After 90 played minutes, Fanáticos's Márcio Alagoano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rubens Trigo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fanáticos reached it. Fanáticos's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
