The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jaime Tinoco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernani das Neves in the 4th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernani das Neves got free with Jaime Tinoco in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wágner Trevisan scored 0-1 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jaime Tinoco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 78 minutes into the match, Ernani das Neves dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jaime Tinoco, 0-2. Cristal's Jaime Tinoco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernani das Neves in the 82nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ernani das Neves in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jaime Tinoco saved Cristal from getting behind. Luizão Arce's late challenge caught a Anjinho AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luizão Arce helped the player get up and apologised. Wágner Trevisan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benê Fantini hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match.
