In the 5th minute, Gildo Gomes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jandiritiua fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Fabinho Terra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gildo Gomes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Norberto Mazza's late challenge caught a Jandiritiua's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Norberto Mazza helped the player get up and apologised. If Gildo Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabinho Terra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramón Prata in the 19th minute of the match. Fabinho Terra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramón Prata in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute of the match Luís Eduardo Barros sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabinho Terra skillfully saved the ball. After 27 played minutes CELESTE got a freekick which was hit by Dragomir Borovinov. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ramón Prata in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabinho Terra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 32 minutes of play, Jandiritiua's Ramón Prata made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fabinho Terra was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gildo Gomes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ramón Prata during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd minute, Gildo Gomes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Jandiritiua booed when CELESTE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaltino Pombal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gildo Gomes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The CELESTE players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Jandiritiua were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Ramón Prata made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gildo Gomes got free with Fabinho Terra in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 53 played minutes CELESTE got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Mazza. In the 54th minute, Isaltino Pombal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gildo Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th match minute, Jandiritiua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramón Prata to maneuver through the defense. 65 minutes into the game, Augusto Lopez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fabinho Terra. Augusto Lopez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. CELESTE's Fabinho Terra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save CELESTE from getting a goal against them. Fabinho Terra was a little too slow when Ramón Prata got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 1-4. Jandiritiua's Nilson Freitas was substituted for Dudu Saraiva. Dragomir Borovinov struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Raphael França didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CELESTE. Nilson Freitas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Fabinho Terra made a huge save. When Jandiritiua's Ramón Prata in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CELESTE's goalie prevented a goal. In the 90th minute, Ramón Prata left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Fabinho Terra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Andrade in the 96th minute of play.
