Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marcos Ramalho started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcos Ramalho in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rubens Trigo saved CR Vila Xurupita from getting behind. When Leonardo Fonseca fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CR Vila Xurupita's protests and gave Leonardo Fonseca a yellow card for diving instead. In the 4th minute, Leonardo Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th match minute, CR Vila Xurupita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Toscano to maneuver through the defense. In the 15thth minute of the game Marcos Ramalho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CR Vila Xurupita's Rubens Trigo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the CR Vila Xurupita defense, Marcos Ramalho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rubens Trigo. The CR Vila Xurupita fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rubens Trigo should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Ramalho in the 28th minute of play forced CR Vila Xurupita's goalkeeper Rubens Trigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcos Ramalho in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rubens Trigo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 31st minute, Hélder Velasco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Morro Grande E.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. After some careless play in the CR Vila Xurupita defense, Hélder Velasco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rubens Trigo. The CR Vila Xurupita fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rubens Trigo should have stopped the shot. Rubens Trigo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in CR Vila Xurupita's zone, Marcos Ramalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rubens Trigo came out of the goal and Marcos Ramalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 48 minutes into the match, Hélder Velasco notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of CR Vila Xurupita's Rubens Trigo. Rubens Trigo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind CR Vila Xurupita's goalkeeper Rubens Trigo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 60th minute, Marcos Ramalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute, Nestor Toscano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 74th minute, Sílvio Luiz de Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Habib Ali Picavea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hélder Velasco might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rubens Trigo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hélder Velasco ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 87th minute CR Vila Xurupita were awarded a corner. Germano Araújo went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led CR Vila Xurupita's Germano Araújo to fire away a dangerous shot which Gláuber Brodel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Maicon Cosme managed to get in a good position for a shot. CR Vila Xurupita's supporters rose to their feet, but Maicon Cosme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gláuber Brodel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
