The Morro Grande E.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. A collision led to Cuiabazinho SC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Teodoro Toledo hit a great ball. After 40 played minutes, Morro Grande E.C's Cláudio Braga shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Delfim Trancoso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Morro Grande E.C reached it. Pedro Paulo Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Nando Arantes made the kick off in the second half. Habib Ali Picavea received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Delfim Trancoso came out and tried to block the shot, but Habib Ali Picavea slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 68th minute. After a rather tough play, Cuiabazinho SC's Teodoro Toledo got a free kick in the 71st minute. Cláudio Braga took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Delfim Trancoso. Cuiabazinho SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Delfim Trancoso made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Alfredinho Vieira sent off a good shot on target. Cuiabazinho SC's Delfim Trancoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredinho Vieira in the 75th minute of play. Habib Ali Picavea took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Delfim Trancoso. Delfim Trancoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-9. 79 minutes into the match, Cuiabazinho SC's goalkeeper Delfim Trancoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcos Ramalho. Toninho Caca-Rato's late challenge caught a Cuiabazinho SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Toninho Caca-Rato helped the player get up and apologised. In the 81st match minute, Morro Grande E.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toninho Caca-Rato to maneuver through the defense. Cuiabazinho SC's Delfim Trancoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Cuiabazinho SC from getting a goal against them. Delfim Trancoso acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 96th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Cláudio Braga. When the match was over Morro Grande E.C could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cuiabazinho SC throughout the match.
