The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute Oscar Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Carlos Novaes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 8 minutes into the game, Silas Munhoz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tipis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bytes EC the free kick. In the 8th minute, Silas Munhoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Bytes EC's Ezequiel Arruda got a free kick in the 11th minute. Adalberto Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Danilo Moreno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Danilo Moreno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raphael Prata, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 17th minute, Adalberto Neto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Danilo Moreno was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Oscar Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Bytes EC's Danilo Moreno got control of the ball when Adalberto Neto tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Tipis booed when Bytes EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Couto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adalberto Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Danilo Moreno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raphael Prata in the 56th minute of the match. Raphael Prata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Moreno having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Tipis's José Pedro de Brito got a free kick in the 61st minute. Danilo Moreno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adalberto Neto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Oscar Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, Osvaldinho Koehler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oscar Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute.
