If Magno Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 15 minutes into the match, Real Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Fonseca came free, but Gilmar Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When André Luiz Peres fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aesthetics's protests and gave André Luiz Peres a yellow card for diving instead. André Luiz Peres kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Aesthetics's zone, Cristian Bueno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Fábio Vasconcelos came out of the goal and Cristian Bueno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luís Fábio Vasconcelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oséias Vidal in the 44th minute of play. Doriva Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. 49 minutes into the match, Magno Ortiz notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Real Minas's Gilmar Almeida. Gilmar Almeida was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Aesthetics eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
