If Enéas Capixaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. OvO FC's Joélson Fonseca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save OvO FC from getting a goal against them. Joélson Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Munhoz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joélson Fonseca made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Cipriano Rosado sent off a good shot on target. In the 11th minute, Formos FC's Raphael Lira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joélson Fonseca. Joélson Fonseca yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 15th minute, Cipriano Rosado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Formos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Joélson Fonseca didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cipriano Rosado went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Joélson Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Munhoz in the 24th minute of play. Cipriano Rosados short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Joélson Fonseca to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Enéas Capixaba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Samuel Munhoz took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joélson Fonseca. Joélson Fonseca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. OvO FC's Enéas Capixaba got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

52 minutes into the match, OvO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Sena came free, but Joélson Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute of the match Jean Zonta shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joélson Fonseca showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 55 minutes of play OvO FC's Luizinho Vaz was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Joélson Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Munhoz in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Munhoz in the 61st minute of play forced OvO FC's goalkeeper Joélson Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enéas Capixaba hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Joélson Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Munhoz in the 65th minute of the match. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joélson Fonseca prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
