In the 15th match minute, Arrebol SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Fernando Lira to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the game, Lúcio Esteves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Mário Trancoso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lúcio Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Real Nexus C.F.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arrebol SS the free kick. Lars Kiil hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Arrebol SS's Mário Trancoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamim Brito in the 52nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Lúcio Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Nexus C.F.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Lúcio Esteves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mário Trancoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Real Nexus C.F. booed when Arrebol SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeu Schmidt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mário Trancoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lúcio Esteves, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute.
