Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Marcos Godoi made the kick off and thus started the match. Luiz Fábio Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the game, Basílio Rezende was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sellado's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malinha FC the free kick. After having played for 15 minutes, Cristiano Loureiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malinha FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Loureiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17th minute, Federico Cebo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Malinha FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of Malinha FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sellado:s goal. Pedrinho Cearense had in the 29thth minute some difficulties stopping Severino Valadares's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Basílio Rezende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrinho Cearense having to interfere. After some careless play in the Sellado defense, Tales Esteves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Márcio Proença. The Sellado fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Márcio Proença should have stopped the shot. Sellado's Márcio Proença played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Loureiro in the 38th minute of play. In the 47th minute Tales Esteves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Márcio Proença saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Basílio Rezende was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 47 minutes had been played. After 48 played minutes Sellado got a freekick which was hit by Basílio Rezende. After the first half Malinha FC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Tales Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Márcio Proença tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Márcio Proença took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tales Esteves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 55 minutes, Cristiano Loureiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After 62 played minutes Sellado got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fábio Dantas. Tales Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sellado's zone, Cristiano Loureiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tales Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Márcio Proença having to interfere. Cristiano Loureiro hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. 81 minutes into the match, Sellado's goalkeeper Márcio Proença had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristiano Loureiro. Cristiano Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Márcio Proença didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malinha FC. Narciso de Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrinho Cearense having to interfere. Luiz Fábio Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match was over Malinha FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sellado throughout the match.
