Spectators: 7464 (Terracing: 5599, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Samuel Munhoz started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute, Afonsinho Faria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luizinho Vaz during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 9 minutes into the match, OvO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Rosado came free, but Joélson Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ricardo Gomes fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored OvO FC's protests and gave Ricardo Gomes a yellow card for diving instead. Ricardo Gomes hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After 16 played minutes, Formos FC's Edmundo Buendia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Joélson Fonseca came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Formos FC reached it. In the 18thth minute of the game Samuel Munhoz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but OvO FC's Joélson Fonseca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ricardo Gomes was shown his second yellow card after 18 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to OvO FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Ricardo Gomes hit a great ball. In the 21st match minute, OvO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luizinho Vaz to maneuver through the defense. Joélson Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Munhoz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Formos FC booed when OvO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enéas Capixaba didn't get a good kick on the ball. OvO FC's Joélson Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Munhoz in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute Samuel Munhoz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joélson Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joélson Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Rosado in the 32nd minute of play. Raphael Lira struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Joélson Fonseca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Formos FC. In the 38th minute Victor Esteves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joélson Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Munhoz in the 39th minute of play forced OvO FC's goalkeeper Joélson Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute, Enéas Capixaba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 45 minutes into the match, Samuel Munhoz notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of OvO FC's Joélson Fonseca. Joélson Fonseca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 53rd minute of the match, Cipriano Rosado got a very nice opportunity to score, but Joélson Fonseca was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 57th minute of the match, Raphael Lira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Joélson Fonseca saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Joélson Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Munhoz in the 61st minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Formos FC's Cipriano Rosado slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joélson Fonseca. That made the score 0-2 after 64 minutes of play. Joélson Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Munhoz, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Joélson Fonseca was a little too slow when Raphael Lira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 0-3. OvO FC's Joélson Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Munhoz in the 73rd minute of play. Enéas Capixaba kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Joélson Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raphael Lira in the 82nd minute of the match. Samuel Munhoz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Joélson Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 95 minutes, Victor Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Formos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor Esteves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Formos FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
