Joélson Fonseca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Afonso Maia hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. 10 minutes into the game, Oséias Vidal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Joélson Fonseca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Oséias Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Maia in the 22nd minute of play forced OvO FC's goalkeeper Joélson Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Oséias Vidal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real Minas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Joélson Fonseca came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Minas's Cristian Bueno. But to his dismay, Cristian Bueno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Afonso Maia scored 0-5 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joélson Fonseca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. OvO FC's Joélson Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Bueno in the 35th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, OvO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Oséias Vidal came free, but Joélson Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luizinho Vaz during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to OvO FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Luizinho Vaz hit a great ball. 40 minutes into the game, Real Minas's Oséias Vidal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joélson Fonseca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Vicente Alves hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Gilvan Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Enéas Capixaba stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Doriva Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joélson Fonseca having to interfere. Joélson Fonseca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Bueno in the 60th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Cristian Bueno could shoot a difficult shot in the 63rd minute, which Joélson Fonseca however easily saved by the left post. OvO FC's Joélson Fonseca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save OvO FC from getting a goal against them. With an all-out effort, Real Minas's Joélson Fonseca threw himself towards the right post 69 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Afonso Maia, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Enéas Capixaba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joélson Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Maia, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Joélson Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oséias Vidal in the 94th minute of play. After 95 played minutes OvO FC got a freekick which was hit by Luizinho Vaz. 96 minutes into the match, OvO FC's goalkeeper Joélson Fonseca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Bueno. When the final whistle sounded Real Minas left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than OvO FC.
