Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ricardo Guimarães started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Cascatinha's Samuel do Valle got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Vitinho Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benê Pinheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benê Pinheiro scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vitinho Paraíba, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Patrick de Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cascatinha's Benê Pinheiro got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 27th match minute, Desengano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willian Hermes to maneuver through the defense. Caio Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caio Amaral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ricardo Guimarães's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. After 31 played minutes Desengano got a freekick which was hit by Sydney Galvão. If Guga Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. Cascatinha's Caio Amaral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Cascatinha from getting a goal against them. In the 40th minute, Samuel do Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vitinho Paraíba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benê Pinheiro's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Vitinho Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guga Quadros in the 54th minute of play. Benê Pinheiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vitinho Paraíba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benê Pinheiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Caio Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Guimarães in the 60th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guga Quadros in the 61st minute of play forced Desengano's goalkeeper Vitinho Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardo Guimarães hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Desengano's Vitinho Paraíba got control of the ball when Benê Pinheiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Desengano defense, Samuel do Valle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vitinho Paraíba. The Desengano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vitinho Paraíba should have stopped the shot. Willian Hermes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Caio Amaral. Cascatinha's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cascatinha's Caio Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristóvão Sampaio in the 78th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Cascatinha's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick de Amorim came free, but Caio Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caio Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick de Amorim in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Sydney Galvão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benê Pinheiro in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vitinho Paraíba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benê Pinheiro in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vitinho Paraíba, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A hard shot 93 in the game by Benê Pinheiro from a close distance when the talented Vitinho Paraíba managed to make a qualified save. Desengano's players were relieved. The Cascatinha supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cascatinha would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
