Patrick de Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Caco Cavalcante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristóvão Sampaio's late challenge caught a G. LINS 4EVER's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristóvão Sampaio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 36th match minute, Desengano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristóvão Sampaio to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 38th minute of the game. One of G. LINS 4EVER:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Desengano:s goal. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Caco Cavalcante. In the 47th match minute, G. LINS 4EVER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robinho Lara to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick de Amorim in the 84th minute of play forced G. LINS 4EVER's goalkeeper Caco Cavalcante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Desengano's Sydney Galvão got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th match minute, G. LINS 4EVER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yuri Pires to maneuver through the defense. After 94 minutes, Ricardo Guimarães mouthed his way into the referee's book. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrick de Amorim couldn't finish the play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Desengano fully deserved thier win.
