Kiko Cardoso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Tião Veloso made a huge save. In the 39th minute, Flávio Capixaba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 44th minute, Vinícius Madureira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the game's 45th minute Ferraz's Amauri Breckenfeld took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Lucas Marquez and thus the score was 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Michel Chaves was the one to do the kick off. Geraldo Batista hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. 55 minutes into the match, Ferraz's goal looked a bit too open when Michel Chaves came free, but Tião Veloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucas Marquez made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Chiquinho Berger sent off a good shot on target. If Adilson Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the match, Adilson Nascimento dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lucas Marquez, 3-2. After having played for 83 minutes, Natanael Lira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Cajazeiras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Natanael Lira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adilson Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Lucas Marquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucas Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adilson Nascimento in the 90th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Ferraz defense, Michel Chaves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tião Veloso. The Ferraz fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tião Veloso should have stopped the shot.
