Spectators: 6999 (Terracing: 5150, Seating: 1700, VIP seats: 149) F C Aion's Natanael Arruda started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Natanael Arruda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fiori Porto took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Renato Romero. Renato Romero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Barrigada booed when F C Aion was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natanael Arruda didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 13 minutes, Natanael Arruda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F C Aion's supporters crossed their fingers, but Natanael Arruda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hermínio Bezerra kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Glauco de Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duarte Botelho in the 19th minute of play forced F C Aion's goalkeeper Renato Romero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luisinho Travassos hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute, Renan Prestes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. F C Aion's Renato Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fiori Porto in the 32nd minute of play. Renato Romero came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Barrigada's Duarte Botelho. But to his dismay, Duarte Botelho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Renato Romero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renan Prestes in the 40th minute of the match. The supporters of Barrigada booed when F C Aion was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glauco de Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute Fiori Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renato Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The F C Aion players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Barrigada were winning 0-2.

In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind F C Aion's goalkeeper Renato Romero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Barrigada's Duarte Botelho got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Renan Prestes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Renato Romero came out and tried to block the shot, but Renan Prestes slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 56th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Barrigada's Duarte Botelho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Renato Romero. That made the score 0-4 after 59 minutes of play. F C Aion's Kauã Soeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Queiroz charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Queiroz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 64 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Barrigada! After a rather tough play, Barrigada's Carlos Queiroz got a free kick in the 70th minute. Kauã Soeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antônio Favoretto having to interfere. Renato Romero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Duarte Botelho in the 73rd minute. In the 74th minute Fiori Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renato Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Renato Romero successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 77 minutes into the match, F C Aion's goalkeeper Renato Romero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Duarte Botelho. Renato Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fiori Porto in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renan Prestes in the 79th minute of play forced F C Aion's goalkeeper Renato Romero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the game, Kauã Soeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F C Aion's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barrigada the free kick. After a rather tough play, F C Aion's Kauã Soeiro got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 82nd minute Fiori Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renato Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geovânio Ramos's late challenge caught a Barrigada's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Geovânio Ramos helped the player get up and apologised. Geovânio Ramos hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. 86 minutes into the match, F C Aion's goal looked a bit too open when Fiori Porto came free, but Renato Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hermínio Bezerra charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hermínio Bezerra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 88 played minutes F C Aion got a freekick which was hit by Hermínio Bezerra. Jerônimo Paulista, 89 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. F C Aion's Renato Romero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save F C Aion from getting a goal against them. Fiori Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of F C Aion booed when Barrigada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renan Prestes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Natanael Arruda struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Antônio Favoretto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F C Aion. The F C Aion fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Barrigada were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
