Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Edmílson Leal kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute Enrique Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Prata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 6 minutes into the match, Enrique Amaral notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Paraiso SS's Roberto Prata. Roberto Prata was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Paraiso SS's Roberto Prata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Amaral in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Club Atlético Minas's Aníbal Martins nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roberto Prata made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Roberto Prata didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmílson Leal went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 18 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Minas's goalkeeper Doni Netto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zé Carlos Amorim. Enrique Amaral charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enrique Amaral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 19th match minute, Club Atlético Minas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Amaral to maneuver through the defense. Geraldo de Almeida in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Doni Netto, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Zé Carlos Amorim came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Paraiso SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Carlos Amorim couldn't finish the play. In the 23rd minute, Fiori Guedes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Doni Netto was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. After 30 minutes of play, Club Atlético Minas's Enrique Amaral made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roberto Prata was left in no man's land by his defense there! 32 minutes into the match, Paraiso SS's goal looked a bit too open when Edmílson Leal came free, but Roberto Prata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Paraiso SS's Luís Fernando Moura nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Doni Netto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. Doni Netto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Geraldo de Almeida's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Doni Netto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Fernando Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sílvio Proença kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After having played for 42 minutes, Geraldo de Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paraiso SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geraldo de Almeida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Doni Netto was a little too slow when Elói Valladares got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 3-4. The Paraiso SS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Club Atlético Minas were winning 3-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Geraldo de Almeida stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Doni Netto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Geraldo de Almeida's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Paraiso SS's goalkeeper Roberto Prata had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Túlio Munhoz. After 59 minutes, Zé Carlos Amorim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paraiso SS and the Club Atlético Minas players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Geraldo de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Geraldo de Almeida came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Paraiso SS fans jumped to their feet. Club Atlético Minas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-4. With a little luck, Paraiso SS's Roberto Prata got control of the ball when Túlio Munhoz tried to sneak it across the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Paraiso SS's goal looked a bit too open when Edmílson Leal came free, but Roberto Prata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elói Valladares kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Geraldo de Almeida struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Doni Netto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraiso SS.
