Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After 3 played minutes Quijingue got a freekick which was hit by Durvalino de Souza. After a defensive mix-up in Quijingue's zone, Doriva Leme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cacá Valladares came out of the goal and Doriva Leme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 6th minute, Hortêncio Santana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Raúl de Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Ciro Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Danilo Britto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Taboquinho AD booed when Quijingue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinei Velasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diego Neves hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Washington Magalhães charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Washington Magalhães the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 26 played minutes Taboquinho AD got a freekick which was hit by Washington Magalhães. Ciro Dantas was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Durvalino de Souza. Quijingue's Raúl de Medeiros got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Raúl de Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Taboquinho AD's goalkeeper Ciro Dantas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Quijingue's Cacá Valladares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hortêncio Santana in the 43rd minute of play. In the 44th minute of the match Ademir das Neves shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cacá Valladares showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Hortêncio Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raúl de Medeiros was the one to do the kick off. After 53 played minutes Quijingue got a freekick which was hit by Rogério Saldanha. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doriva Leme in the 54th minute of play forced Quijingue's goalkeeper Cacá Valladares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raúl de Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Ciro Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilmar Vianna's late challenge caught a Quijingue's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The referee ignored Quijingue's protests and gave Danilo Britto a yellow card for diving instead. After 63 played minutes Quijingue got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Britto. A collision led to Quijingue getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Eliseu Sergipano hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Danilo Britto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quijingue's supporters rose to their feet, but Danilo Britto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciro Dantas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hortêncio Santana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Cacá Valladares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cacá Valladares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beto de Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79thth minute of the game Raúl de Medeiros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Taboquinho AD's Ciro Dantas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Taboquinho AD's Washington Magalhães got a free kick in the 80th minute. Raúl de Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. The referee ignored Taboquinho AD's protests and gave Beto de Moraes a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Taboquinho AD getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Beto de Moraes hit a great ball. Hortêncio Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Taboquinho AD's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Quijingue had won, even though Taboquinho AD had held more of the ball.
