Hummel Fc's José de Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luciano Branco in the 20th minute of play. The supporters of Caresalzinho SS booed when Hummel Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Pedro Britto didn't get a good kick on the ball. José de Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sydney Monteiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Zé Pedro Britto notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Caresalzinho SS's Hugo Palmeira. Hugo Palmeira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Caresalzinho SS's zone, Ernesto Simão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugo Palmeira came out of the goal and Ernesto Simão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. José de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celsinho Chaves in the 43rd minute of play. If Sydney Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zé Pedro Britto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hugo Palmeira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sydney Monteiro was the one to do the kick off. Sydney Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José de Azevedo having to interfere. In the 71st match minute, Caresalzinho SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Vergílio to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute, Maicon Sarmento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hummel Fc's Rodriguinho Peixoto managed to work through Caresalzinho SS's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Rodriguinho Peixoto dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The crowd rose to their feet as Zé Pedro Britto kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hugo Palmeira. That made the score 0-7 in the 82 minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, Tony Cearense threw the ball into play from the sideline. Caresalzinho SS's Simão Secco quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Pedrão Camargo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. José de Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Zé Pedro Britto kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hugo Palmeira. That made the score 0-8 in the 93 minute of play. The Hummel Fc players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
