An unexpectedly hard shot by Enzo Romo in the 9th minute of play forced FC Leões's goalkeeper Vitório Alvarenga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Leões's zone, Jailson Oliveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vitório Alvarenga came out of the goal and Jailson Oliveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dobromir Wyrostek kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. When Blue Mountain State's Enzo Romo in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Leões's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Enzo Romo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blue Mountain State's supporters rose to their feet, but Enzo Romo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vitório Alvarenga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 26 minutes into the match, Jailson Oliveira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vitório Alvarenga. FC Leões's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jailson Oliveira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Vitório Alvarenga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enzo Romo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute, Enzo Romo made a precise shot to the right of Vitório Alvarenga. FC Leões's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. 35 minutes into the match, Enzo Romo notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of FC Leões's Vitório Alvarenga. Vitório Alvarenga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enzo Romo in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vitório Alvarenga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jorginho Perez kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After 39 played minutes FC Leões got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldão Novaes. When Blue Mountain State's Enzo Romo in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Leões's goalie prevented a goal. Jailson Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Vitório Alvarenga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The wind increased when Alvise Di Muzio made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Enzo Romo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vitório Alvarenga, 0-6. In the 56th minute, FC Leões's Jorginho Perez seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jorginho Perez the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Leões protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jorginho Perez had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Leões fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 56th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Blue Mountain State a penalty, 59 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dobromir Wyrostek, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Leões's Vitório Alvarenga. 0-7. In the 62nd minute, Angelo Paublo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vitório Alvarenga was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. A hard shot 65 in the game by Enzo Romo from a close distance when the talented Vitório Alvarenga managed to make a qualified save. FC Leões's players were relieved. In the 77th minute Enzo Romo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitório Alvarenga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes into the game, Blue Mountain State's Enzo Romo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vitório Alvarenga made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-9. Alvise Di Muzio fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 85th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. Vitório Alvarenga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jailson Oliveira in the 87th minute of the match. When Enzo Romo came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Blue Mountain State fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enzo Romo couldn't finish the play. After 90th play minutes Enzo Romo shot 0-11, a short shot which went by Vitório Alvarenga and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 93rdth minute of the game Enzo Romo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Leões's Vitório Alvarenga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dobromir Wyrostek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The FC Leões fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Blue Mountain State were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
