Seating: 1714, VIP seats: 149) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dadá de Andrade got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th match minute, Efigenia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ediberto Cerezo to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute Clóvis Mazza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel de Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Augusto Costa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dadá de Andrade went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Leandro Pirani took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcel de Brito. Marcel de Brito dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Marcel de Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Pirani in the 16th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Allan Aguiar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcel de Brito. Efigenia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Allan Aguiar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 21 minutes into the match, Mário Brito dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zé Augusto Costa, 2-2. Marcel de Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clóvis Mazza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcel de Brito came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Samsung FC's Leandro Pirani. But to his dismay, Leandro Pirani quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Leandro Pirani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel de Brito having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Efigenia's Genílson Ceresso got a free kick in the 29th minute. Dadá de Andrade was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 32nd minute. Efigenia's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Ediberto Cerezo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Leandro Pirani came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Samsung FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leandro Pirani couldn't finish the play. Marcel de Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro de Brito in the 39th minute of the match. Marcel de Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Pirani in the 42nd minute of play. Efigenia's Marcel de Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franklin de Medeiros in the 43rd minute of play. Marcel de Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Pirani, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Franklin de Medeiros to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Augusto Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Efigenia's supporters rose to their feet, but Augusto Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Augusto Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee felt a red card was in order, 66 minutes into the game, when João Vítor de Queirós put in a rough tackle. In the 66th minute, one of Samsung FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Samsung FC. With a little luck, Efigenia's Marcel de Brito got control of the ball when Leandro Pirani tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Leandro Pirani came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Samsung FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leandro Pirani couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Efigenia's Genílson Ceresso got a free kick in the 84th minute. After 86 played minutes Efigenia got a freekick which was hit by Ediberto Cerezo. In the 93rd minute Mário Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Augusto Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Efigenia's zone, Allan Aguiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcel de Brito came out of the goal and Allan Aguiar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 98 minutes into the match, Samsung FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dadá de Andrade came free, but Zé Augusto Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Samsung FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Efigenia.
