That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. Natã Cunha struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Marcel de Brito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vitoria. With an all-out effort, Vitoria's Marcel de Brito threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Conrado Sanches, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Eliseu Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 19 minutes of play, Vitoria's Natã Cunha made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcel de Brito was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Vitoria getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Clóvis Catarinense hit a great ball. When Adilson Melo came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Vitoria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adilson Melo couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Efigenia's Vinícius Veiga got a free kick in the 27th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Efigenia's goalkeeper Marcel de Brito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Natã Cunha. Marcel de Brito made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Clóvis Catarinense sent off a good shot on target. Conrado Sanches kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Efigenia's Marcel de Brito proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Efigenia from getting a goal against them. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dadá de Andrade to strike the kick off in the second half. Clóvis Catarinense took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcel de Brito. Marcel de Brito dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Marcel de Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adilson Melo in the 64th minute of the match. Natã Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Marcel de Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute Conrado Sanches suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Ediberto Cerezo hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Vitoria's Evandro Machado got a free kick in the 70th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Vitoria's Natã Cunha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcel de Brito narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Adilson Melo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vitoria fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Clóvis Catarinense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcel de Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natã Cunha in the 88th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natã Cunha in the 91st minute of play forced Efigenia's goalkeeper Marcel de Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcel de Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natã Cunha in the 96th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Vitoria players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
