SC Arapuca's Ernani de Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adilson Melo in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to Vitoria getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Conrado Sanches hit a great ball. After 24 minutes, Clóvis Catarinense mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vitoria and the SC Arapuca players grew even worse after the yellow card. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adilson Melo was the one to do the kick off. Ricardo Rosado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernardinho de Mendonça read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Vitoria's zone, Ricardo Rosado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardinho de Mendonça came out of the goal and Ricardo Rosado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 67 minutes into the match, Vitoria's Adilson Melo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ernani de Moraes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 68th match minute, SC Arapuca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Falcão Messias to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of SC Arapuca booed when Vitoria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado Sanches didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the game, Bruninho Sarmento was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Adilson Melo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ernani de Moraes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adilson Melo went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Oséias Nunes hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, SC Arapuca's Falcão Messias got a free kick in the 89th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natã Cunha in the 92nd minute of play forced SC Arapuca's goalkeeper Ernani de Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
