Sydney Alagoano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Valério Antunes made a huge save. Hugo Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Albertinho Donatello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes into the game, Remo's Walmyr Britto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Albertinho Donatello made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Caetano Ferraz charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Caetano Ferraz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 13 played minutes Black Hawks got a freekick which was hit by Caetano Ferraz. When Hugo Leão came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Remo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Leão couldn't finish the play. Walmyr Britto might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Albertinho Donatello. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Walmyr Britto ran back to his position shaking his head. José Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Paulo José Loureiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Valério Antunes made a huge save. Hugo Leão's late challenge caught a Black Hawks's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hugo Leão helped the player get up and apologised. Walmyr Britto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Albertinho Donatello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudinho Correia struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Albertinho Donatello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Remo. The crowd rose to their feet as Alfredinho Palmeira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Valério Antunes. That made the score 1-1 in the 46 minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hugo Leão to make the kick off. Albertinho Donatello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Leão in the 53rd minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, Black Hawks's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Leão came free, but Albertinho Donatello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Remo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Caio Severo in the 63rd minute. Caio Severo made a great header on Remo's corner, it was just that Black Hawks's Albertinho Donatello managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 68th minute, Hugo Leão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Albertinho Donatello was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Claudinho Correia charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudinho Correia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 73 played minutes Remo got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Correia. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sydney Alagoano in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valério Antunes saved Remo from getting behind. Walmyr Britto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. During the 86th minute of the match Claudinho Correia completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Claudinho Correia a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Remo's Claudinho Correia got a free kick in the 86th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Black Hawks's goal looked a bit too open when Walmyr Britto came free, but Albertinho Donatello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Walmyr Britto struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Albertinho Donatello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Remo. If Walmyr Britto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
